Nebraska

This beautiful fall weekend Lori, Aaron and I made the trek to Nebraska. Nebraska is Lori’s home, and seeing the Huskers play in Memorial Stadium is the fulfillment of a lifelong dream for Aaron. I was along for a great ride!

Flood 2005

While studying for my big Hebrew test tomorrow I looked out side to find out parking lot had turned into a river. We moved Aaron's car to higher ground and about 50 other students and spouses helped move belongings to higher ground as well as sand bag a few apartments.

Photo 1 - The view from our building to the parking lot. In the upper right corner is a railing and a few steps leading over the storm drain that flooded.
Photo 2 - The parking lot 3 hours after the flood.
Photo 3 & 4 - The first floor of our building with water.
Photo 5 - The first floor 3 hours later with mud.
Photo 4 - Aaron 'walking' through the parking lot to his car.

Night Out

Aaron and I realized we hadn't been 'out' since classes started. This Friday we went to a wedding for a classmate Becca. The line of people are Norwegian folk dancing. After that we landed at a mom'n'pop Italian place called Mama's. We split a large meal (only $6.50) and brought home leftovers. Following this we went to the Gast Haus. Throughout the evening we were with Kris, Lori, Jen and Karen. Ahh, what a night.
